Categories of personal information we process
- Identity and contact: name, work email, phone number, company name, job title.
- Commercial: utility bills, landlord recharges, lease terms, meter data, store information.
- Technical: IP address, browser, device, page views, referral source.
- Communication: messages you send us via forms, email, or in-app channels.
Source of the information
Directly from you, when you fill in a form, send us an email, or use the platform.
From the documents you forward to us for audit (utility bills, leases, recharge invoices).
From our analytics provider, for technical site data.
Purpose of processing
To perform the audit service you’ve asked us to perform.
To communicate with you about that service.
To send you reports, alerts, and account information.
To send you marketing communications you’ve opted into.
To meet legal and regulatory obligations.
Mandatory or voluntary
Voluntary. If you don’t supply the information we need to run an audit, we cannot run the audit.
Recipients
- Verifyt staff, on a need-to-know basis.
- Sub-processors used to deliver the service: Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Cloudflare (form CAPTCHA).
- Tax and regulatory authorities where required by law.
- Any other party we name and you consent to.
Cross-border transfers
Some of our sub-processors store data outside South Africa. Vercel infrastructure can route through international data centres. We rely on the data-protection terms in their service agreements to maintain equivalent protection.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Be told what personal information we hold on you.
- Have it corrected or deleted if it is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading, or unlawfully obtained.
- Object to processing for direct marketing.
- Object to processing on legitimate-interests grounds.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
